About

Eoin Woods is an independent consultant in the fields of software architecture, green software and software engineering. He spends most of his time in fractional CTO roles, helping companies to address problems and implement positive change.

Prior to this he was CTO of a digital engineering firm and helped to drive its growth from 1800 people to 12000 people during his time there. Earlier in his career has developed databases, created security software and designed way too many systems to move money around in complicated ways.

He is a regular conference speaker, a visiting member of the academic staff at Imperial College London, has co-authored three books on software architecture and was the recipient of the 2018 Linda Northrup Award for Software Architecture, from the Software Engineering Institute at CMU.
